UP THE TRACK

Up The Track
Award winning FNQ distillery, Narrow Tracks, is on the move, trading their warehouse for a shabby chic repurposed sawmill in Magazine Street, Stratford. Plans are afoot to turn the 65 year old building into an industrial themed bar and distillery.  The building has become vacant as production of timber frames has recently been discontinued. Narrow Tracks Distillery was founded in 2021 by couple Doug Thorpe and Bec Zammit and soon became a force to be reckoned with in the burgeoning FNQ gin scene. Picking up awards for their Gin, including a double gold in the world spirits competition, they have been slowly expanding their range and now produce 3 gins and 2 "moonshine" products.  Doug, a former aircraft engineer, and his partner Bec started Narrow Tracks as a 'pivot' after he was laid off during the pandemic.  The couple are involved in the day to day running of the boutique distillery and in a few short years have managed to get their products stocked in Dan Murphy's and BWS.  For updates on the new location follow them on Facebook.
