As another year draws to a close, I just want to say—thank you.
Thank you for reading, sharing, collaborating, advertising, cooking, pouring, growing, fermenting, distilling, and supporting everything we’ve been building with FNQ Food.
In 2025, we published another bold and beautiful edition of FNQ Food Magazine, shining a light on the extraordinary people and places that feed this region—often against the odds. We also launched the very first edition of our spin-off digital magazine, FNQ Booze. It’s been so well received, we’re now planning to bring it to print.
Our social media has ramped up significantly, and we’re on track to clock over half a million in total reach this financial year. Email subscriptions continue to grow, and it's become increasingly clear how hungry people are—locals and visitors alike—for authentic stories about this region’s food and drink.
Tourism numbers are bouncing back, and while the ripple effects haven’t fully hit the hospitality sector yet, there’s a definite sense that the tide is turning. We’re particularly excited about 2026, which is shaping up to be a bumper year across the industry.
We’re proud to support TTNQ’s Local Food Month in April 2026 and encourage every operator, grower, and venue to get involved—because Far North Queensland has something truly world-class to celebrate.
For now, here’s to you.
Thanks for being part of the FNQ Food family.
Have a Merry Christmas, a joyful New Year—and we’ll see you on the other side with more to eat, drink, and write about.
Warm regards,
David Leith
& The FNQ FOOD Team
