Set for Saturday, September 21st, from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM, the Barron River Food Festival will take place at the Stratford Dolphins Football Club, just north of Cairns. This event promises to be an unmissable evening of great food, international flavours, and entertainment. Following the success of past culinary events such as ‘Cairns on a Fork’ and ‘Meet Eat Repeat,’ the festival is designed to showcase a wide variety of delicious bites that will tantalize your taste buds.
For just $10 a plate, attendees can enjoy “Tropical Tapas,” a special selection of dishes prepared by local restaurants and food trucks, offering a diverse range of cuisines. Whether you’re a fan of fresh seafood, street food, or exotic international fare, there will be something for everyone. And with a fully licensed bar serving your favourite beverages, you can sip, savour, and soak in the atmosphere.
Of course, food isn’t the only thing on the menu. The night will be alive with fantastic live music from local talents, including the upbeat rhythms of The Brazilians and the high-energy performance of Eddie Skiba Music. It’s the perfect backdrop to a memorable evening, whether you’re a foodie, a music lover, or both.
The Barron River Food Festival is designed with families in mind. The kids are sure to have a blast with activities like jumping castles, mini-golf, and a petting zoo where they can meet friendly dwarf goats.
