FNQ Food Magazine were delighted to attend the annual Restaurant & Catering Association Awards for Excellence for Northern Qld and the NT at the Reef Casino on Wednesday night.
Even those that did not win deserve our full respect, as the nominees list read as roll call for the determined, innovative and courageous. This last 18 months have taken its toll on the Food and Beverage Industry, not just here but globally and it was nice to see those hard working stalwarts letting their hair down and being recognised for, what is, after all an industry that often shines a little bit of happiness into all of our lives where good times can be perceived as in short supply.
